best chili ever

Here's the recipe for the chili I cooked on Sunday. It was overflowing in a 6 quart crockpot, so prepare!! As with all chilis, the chili beans can be swapped out for different kinds and I'm sure if you left out a few ingredients you would be fine. I left out the bell peppers, because I never really feel like they add much. If Preston were to guest blog, I'm positive he would agree that this was the best chili ever :)

Ingredients
• 2-3 pounds ground beef chuck
• 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
• 3 (15 ounce) cans chili beans, drained
• 1 (15 ounce) can chili beans in spicy sauce
• 2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with juice
• 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
• 1 large yellow onion, chopped
• 3 stalks celery, chopped
• 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
• 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
• 2 green chile peppers, seeded and chopped
• 1 tbl bacon bits
• 4 cubes beef bouillon
• 1/2 cup beer
• 1/4 cup chili powder
• 1 tbl Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tbl minced garlic
• 1 tbl dried oregano
• 2 tsps ground cumin
• 2 tsps hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)
• 1 tsp dried basil
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp ground black pepper
• 1 tsp cayenne pepper
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp white sugar
• 1 (10.5 ounce) bag corn chips such as Fritos®
• 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions
Brown meat and add all ingredients into large stock pot or slow cooker. Cook for atleast two hours but I think the longer it simmers, the better it tastes!
